Baguio and its famous tourist spots

We all love to tour in different tourist attractions in a certain place. Sometimes we can never forget the places we’ve visited or sometimes we want to go back and visit that place again. As a resident in Baguio City for twelve years I’ve been in different places tourists in Baguio.

Session Road
Since I love to go shopping the best place to shop is in Session Road. it is a consists of different stores, malls, and restaurants that are line up both sides of the road. Since the Road stretches from SM Baguio all the way to Magsaysay Avenue. Most of the people walks from end to end . Apart from SM Baguio I used to go to this mall called Porta Vaga where I enjoy window-shopping or shopping a lot of clothes, arts and crafts, toys and more.

Burnham park

Burnham Park is one of the oldest Park in Baguio City and it is where people spend time with their family or “barkadas” for fun. Why for fun? This park consists of Biking, Boating, Skating, Basketball, and etc… when I was a little girl My cousins and I usually go there to spend time for fun and bonding. All the memories I can never forgetJ
Wright Park
When I was a little my dad used to bring me to the famous horse-back riding in Wright park. Horse-back riding is a favorite spot for children and adults aswell. It is also where the famous mansion is found where it is a resting place for the president and other higher officials.

Camp John Hay

If you ever love to play golf Camp John Hay Is the place for you. Camp John Hey is composed of golf course, hotels, a shopping center, convention, gardens, trails and etc. it is perfect for bonding between family and friends.

Philippine Millitary Academy(PMA)
It lies the long and illustrious history of the Filipino soldiers. It is also a training school for soldiers and armed forces. Visitors are welcome and explore places like the PMA museum where it shows historical military weapons. Vintage tanks and air force are also found inside.

my cold hometown

I remember everytime i wake up, i could feel the cold and pine scented breeze brushing through my skin. And everytime i get up from my bed, sunflowers and pine trees are the first thing I see through my window. These are one of my favorite things when if comes to my home town.

Baguio, known as the Summer Capital of the Philippines, is my beloved hometown. I often get homesick when I write something about hometown. If you ever love to see and want to feel the nature Baguio City is the right place for you to stay. Places like Camp John Hay, Wright park, and Mines View are the perfect places to enjoy and feel their nature. Baguio's famous flower shop known as Orchidarium which is near Burnham Park, is known for its different plants and flowers that are for sale. So if you are a plant lover Orchidarium is the perfect place for you.

Baguio City Market is the famous market which is the most visited place by its residents and tourists. It is where you can see and buy Baguio's Fresh fruits, vegetables, poultry, and etc... which has its best bargains and affordable to buy. since Baguio has a cold climate most of its products are fresh and can last longer. This market does not only sell fruits and vegetables, other products like blankets, clothes, shoes, house supplies, flowershops, are also found here in the market. For me, Baguio City Market is not an ordinary market but a market that has your needs.

Baguio City, A city on top of the mountain

Baguio City is known for its cold and foggy climate and abundance of pine trees. It is where I grew up and stayed for almost twelve to thirteen years until we transferred to Manila. Its name “Baguio” was derived from Ibaloi, one of its dialect languages, which mean to be “moss”.  Because of its cool and
foggy climate, Baguio was made to be the Summer Capital of the Philippines.

Baguio has a lot of tourism spots, when I was a little girl my dad takes me to Wright park, where I enjoy horseback riding. Burnham Park is famous of its boating, biking, and children’s playground where my cousins and I usually go every weekend. Session Road is our main hangout even before SM Baguio was built. It consists of shops, restaurants, malls, and hotels.

One of my favorite things in Baguio is their fiesta that is celebrated every whole month of February. This fiesta is known as Panagbenga or Baguio Flower festival. The fiesta is mostly held in Session road where parade of Native Dances and Colorful Floats are shown. Bazaar sales are also held especially every weekend where souvenirs, fresh flowers, and other unique things are sold which is considered as a peak season for the tourists. My family and I always wanted to go out and watch the festival and sometimes taking pictures of the colorful coral floats. Activities such as mini landscape exhibit, battle of the bands, and other events are also held within the month.

Ube and strawberry jam is one of my favorite sweets in Baguio mostly they are made and bought in the Good Shepherd covenant. However many of these products such as ube jam, strawberry jam, peanut brittle are sold in different stalls in Baguio. Since we are currently living in Laguna we used to buy strawberry and ube jams to give to our friends and classmates. And also the strawberry fields are the one of the most visited places in Baguio. Tourists and visitors get to pick and taste the strawberries and take pictures from the fields. But sadly with my thirteen years of stay I never been there.

listening: what hinders me from it

We all like to listen especially if we are very interested to the certain topic. we listen to our friend especially when it is a secret or a problem they want to talk about. In School we need to pay attention and listen what the teacher says to understand the lesson.

my mom will always say "always pay attenton and listen to your teacher" but sometimes i can't help myself. i tend to do things instead of listening

boredom is my greatest enemy when it comes to listening. i get bored when the subject or teacher is too boring. what do i do if the subject or teacher is boring? I tend to draw, yes as I mentioned on my recent blog that I love to draw so I really draw a lot. but I'm thankful that I rarely fall asleep during classes however sometimes I start to daydream instead of listening. it really happens to me a lot especially if i didn't bring my sketch pad.

i am aware of my problems about listening which can affect my studies. Now that i'm in college i would avoid to do all these things and listen and focus on what the speaker is saying. i would set a goal or inspiration to keep my motivation high and to listen on the speaker's lecture
